Speaking on Sunday Brunch, the Heart Breakfast presenter recalled the terrifying moment she got home at 7am and found her toddler had been left unattended
Amanda Holden has revealed her babysitter left her daughter Lexi alone while the BGT judge partied at Simon Cowell ’s 50th birthday bash.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge, 49, said she came home from the £1million bash to find the three-year-old by herself.
“It was about 10 years ago now – [Simon’s] getting on,” joked Amanda.
“We stayed there all night, and in the morning when we got home the woman looking after our kids thought we’d got home, and had left.
“It was seven o’clock in the morning and we walked into the house and no-one was looking after our children. Can you imagine? She was fired, can I say. It was a great party, with a horrific ending.”
Amanda told the anecdote on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch yesterday.
She added Lexi, now 14, was “fine, obviously”, adding: “But that was the scariest thing ever.”
A source close to Amanda said it was a slip of the tongue as her eight-year-old, Hollie, had not been born at the time. They added Lexi was never in any danger.
Waiters wore masks of Simon’s face at the opulent bash at Wrotham Park, Herts.
And Amanda recalled there was a 60ft projection of Simon’s face on the stately home.
She said: “As we drove up in the car, there was no doubting where the party was. His face had been projected on to the building.
